This approach, which can be applied to most types of processing thanks to the ease with which data management platforms can be manipulated, generally requires some additional effort to collect the data, ensure its quality, enrich it with external sources, then deal with special cases and define a principle and basis for restitution.
Qualify treatment
Our data analysts specify the processing to be carried out according to a classic FIPOC approach: what are the input data, the manipulations, the output data. On the basis of this qualification, they carry out a 1st version of the processing, followed by a more precise audit to :
- Clarify data collection principles,
- Identify special cases and their processing,
- Analyze data quality and the actions to be taken on upstream systems and, as a palliative measure, on data processing,
- Specify the restitution architecture and its data model.
Perform data transformation processing
As part of an Agile sprint approach, we progressively develop the processes. At the end of each sprint, a feedback is carried out to validate or adjust the processing of certain specificities.
Processing is carried out either on data management platforms, so that business users can administer and upgrade them, or in Python, or on specific modules of Dataviz tools (e.g. Power Query for Power BI and Tableau Prep Builder).
